           IS OIL GOOD FOR DOGS

In this section i am going to discuss about whether oil is good for dog or not. Many times you would have heard people specially in india saying that oil is bad for dogs ,it causes many skin related problem, etc.A most popular proverb famous in india usually heard from too many people is that KUTTEY KO GHEE HAZM NAHI HOTA(dogs are unable to digest clarified butter).
They think that dog would face so many skin related issues when we feed them any kind of oil but guys you will be surprised to know that the truth is just opposite to what they usually believe.
Oil in their(dog) diet plays a very important role in their life. You can overcome many health issues of your dog by just adding oil in their diet.It will help to overcome bone related issues ,digestive issues and coat related issues as well.it also improve their immune system.
Actually some edible oils contains various fatty acids and these components helps dogs to improve their health issues whether it is coat related or bone related(specially in senior dogs) or digestion related issues.
Edible oils containing fatty acid OMEGA-3 and  OMEGA-6 are very good for dogs and its helps to overcome any kind of coat related issues (like itching ,infection etc). Recent study concluded that fatty acids are also very effective to heal various wounds on dogs skin.

GUYS THE PIC THAT I HAVE UPLOADED IS MY GERMAN SHEPHERD 3 MONTHS OLD....SEE HER COAT ....ISNT SHE A BEAUTY...I STARTED GIVING HER OIL SINCE SHE WAS A PUPPY....NOW SHE IS 12 MONTHS OLD AND SHE NEVER HAD ANY SKIN OR COAT ISSUES TILL NOW.....HOPE SHE WOULD NEVER FACE IT IN FUTURE TOO......

So guys if you want your best friend free from any kind of skin and coat issues then start giving them oil in their meal.I know you all have a question in your mind that HOW OFTEN and HOW MUCH should i feed him/her oil.So here is my answer for all of you.

OIL THAT SHOULD BE FED
Any uncooked vegetable oil containing omega-3 and omega-6(like sunflower oil, corn oil etc),ghee, salmon oil, coconut oil(parachut oil),
Mustard oil will be the best because it contains all natural fatty acids .so just start giving them and soon you will see the result.

HOW OFTEN
If the case is realy worse then feed them ONCE DAILY with his/her meal but in normal case feed them ALTERNATIVE DAYS.

HOW MUCH
For small breed :                   puppies - 1/3 teaspoon
                                              adults - 1/2 teaspoon

for medium/large breed        puppies - 1/2 teaspoon
                                              adults - 1 teaspoon

PRECAUTION

  • Never feed your dog cooked oil.
  • If you want to see that the oil you are giving to your dog is good or not for his/her health or is he/she digesting it properly then just check out his/her poop(stool) after 5-6 hrs of feeding him/her meal in which oil was added. If the consistency(density/viscosity) of stool is normal then its fine but if the stool is loose then it means that oil didn't suit his/her digestive system so give him/her another oil as i have told you above in oil list.

WHAT IS ORIGINAL GERMAN SHEPHERD

In these days this breed is very popular in India and for many people keeping this breed is their status symbol. This breed is one of the most toughest ,brave, loyal and intelligent breed in dog breed history. It is said and experienced by many people that this breed is the only breed who can take a bullet for the one they love and that is the reason these dogs are used in USA POLICE FORCE or MANY MILIATRY FORCES OF MANY COUNTRIES in large scale.  Actually this breed was originated in germany since 1899.German name of this breed is Deutscher Schäferhund but it is called German shepherd in English in Germany and Alsation in USA.
few people those are unaware of this breed think that both German shepherd and Alsation are different dog breed but basically both are same breed just their name is different..actually there is a reason why German shepherd started being called alsation and the reason is that during the World war II when americans were refusing to use anything related to germany then that time they couldnt refuse this noble breed dog because of its intelligence and many other quality. So they decided to call them Alsation officially instead of calling them German shepherd because  in German shepherd term they had to use that German word so they replaced it...
Another rumour related to this breed is that today almost every breeder who doesnt have enough knowledge or hasnt reasearched enough about this breed thinks that every german shepherd must have that angulation feature like according to them every german shepherd must have that declined back from their shoulder to root of their tail but basically this one is the modified feature of a german shepherd and you wouldnt believe that a pure breed german shepherd doesnt have that declined back( angulation). This angulation in todays german shepherd is the result of breeding in USA for showline purposes and it causes many health issues in todays german shepherd like HIP DISPLASIA,ARTHRITIS  and many other health issues related to their bones but in reality when the german shepherds were bred in 1899 for herding or any other farm purposes  then they dint have any angulation feature in them and they were the original german shepherds without any health issues.

CLASSIFICATION OF GERMAN SHEPHERD ON THE BASIS OF THEIR PURPOSES

WORKLINE GERMAN SHEPHERD(EAST LINE) :

These gsd were bred in germany  for herding and guarding purposes and these were the first german shepherd bred in 1899 without angulation(declination in their back). These were light weighted as compared to todays german shepherd and thats one of the reason they are free from many bone related health issues and that is the reason they are used by police department and milliatry forces.
So guys if u need a german shepherd for guarding or any kind of work purposes whether it is outdoor or indoor then i would say that you must prefer "workline german shepherd"

SHOWLINE GERMAN SHEPHERD(WEST LINE) :

Another name for these german shepherd can be modern gsd. These german shepherds were berd only for showline purposes with angulation(declination in their back) and heavy weight and these are the reason they faces so many health issues like HIP DISPLASIA,ARTHRITIS,RICKETS and many more bone related health issues.
So guys if u need a german shepherd for dog shows n all then these shepherds are perfect for you but if u need a gsd having ultimate capabilities without any health issues then these showline german shepherd could be bad choice for you.

IMPORTANCE OF DOGS IN OUR LIFE

They empathize With Human Pain

Research shows that more dogs will approach someone who’s crying or in distress than someone who is not. This shows that dogs are empathetic and are eager to help comfort humans in pain.

They can detect cancer

Their incredible sense of smell help detecting lung cancer in a nearby patient from 70 to 99% accuracy.

They reduce work stress

The International Journal of Workplace Health Management has discovered that workers who bring their dog to their office have less stress and are happier with their job, simply because the dog is hanging around.

Detect Seizures Before They Happen

Recent research has shown certain dogs are able to warn seizure patients that they’re going to experience an attack, sometimes hours before it happens. They also can’t be trained to do it, so if you feel you need a seizure-sniffing dog, you need to make sure you have yourself a natural.

Help Babies Stay Healthy By Being Dirty

A recent study has shown that babies with dogs are actually healthier than those without dogs, reporting fewer coughs, runny noses, and ear infections. The reason, researchers believe, is because dogs will track in dirt, mud, and other germ-infested bits of earth, thereby boosting the child’s immune system.

Help You Stay In Shape

A study from the University Of London has determined that kids with dogs are more active, and exercise more often, than kids without dogs. After all, it’s a lot more fun and interesting to go jogging with your dog than alone

Detect Low Blood Sugar

That sense of smell can do even more; dogs can also detect low blood sugar in their master. They will either alert the person that the sugar has dropped or, if a diabetic attack has already occurred, will bark and bark and bark in an attempt to alert somebody to come help, thus working to save the diabetic’s life.

Help You Stay Away From Allergens

Food allergies are nothing to sneeze at; luckily, dogs have been shown they can be trained to detect certain allergens. So if you’re allergic to peanut butter, the dog will alert you if it detects anything with the scent of peanut in the room. Same with any other thing that may harm you or a loved one.

 Help You Be More Social

The British Medical Journal has concluded that dogs act as “social catalysts,” who help people get out more, approach others more easily, and overall reduce isolation. This is actually more important than the basic companionship that dogs provide, as human social support is more beneficial to human health.

 Help Veterans Overcome PTSD

Simply by being themselves, dogs have been shown to help reduce PTSD among soldiers. In addition to providing the usual doggie companionship, they have been shown to help sufferers come out of their shells, be less numb and angry, and improve their social life as well.

Help Prevent Eczema In Kids

In a surprising twist, it might actually be beneficial to get a dog for your baby, even if they’re allergic. Studies have shown that children under the age of one who live with a dog are much less likely to develop the chronic, and annoying, skin condition called eczema.

Heal Wounds Simply By Kissing You

A dog kissing you obviously feels wonderful, but it might actually have physical benefits too. Studies have shown that saliva, both the human and doggie variety, can help stimulate nerves and muscles, and get oxygen moving again, which is the secret ingredient in helping wounds to heal. In short, “licking your wounds” is not just a cliche after all.

Reduce Your Risk Of Heart Problems

Preliminary studies by the American Heart Association are revealing that dog owners have less risk of heart disease than those without dogs. The reasons given are the exercise that owners get when walking their dogs, plus the presence of the dog helps the owner deal with stress better. The evidence is mostly anecdotal right now, but dog owners know that it’s all true.

Aid With Depression

Day-to-day depression, or even more serious chronic depression, is easier to handle with the love of a dog, studies show. Simply by having them around, and knowing that even at our worst, somebody loves us unconditionally and is eager to see us happy again, we’re given a reason to get up and keep going.
